Facing our Grief with Courtney Simelton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Service Description
Facing a cancer diagnosis there can be stages of grief and mourning. These can include a range of denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Courtney Simelton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in helping women overcome anxiety, depression, grief, OCD, and trauma through evidence-based treatment. Courtney went through specialized training to work with women experiencing infertility and miscarriage/pregnancy loss after noticing the lack of community resources surrounding the emotional need for women experiencing reproductive challenges. Courtney has been practicing as a clinician for 7 years and recently opened her own therapy practice, For Her Counseling. She is grateful to be an added support for women in the midst of their darkest hour and to be an advocate to create more community awareness surrounding taboo conversations. This session will be recorded and will be shared at a later date. After the recording is concluded we will open the room for questions. Connect with Survivors of Breast and Gynecological Cancer and enjoy Coffee/Tea together. Come to The Roots at NothingPink and enjoy a relaxed, positive and encouraging atmosphere where you can connect with others that understand the battle
