Loving wife and mother to two active boys, she holds a strong passion for NothingPink. After losing her mother to breast cancer at a young age, then finding out she had the BRCA2 gene mutation, Carrie was ready to take more action to reduce her risk of breast and ovarian cancer with preventative surgeries. Carrie leads our NothingPink Support efforts by leading the support meeting, and sending care packages for those in treatment or facing surgery, and is ready to support your next steps in the BRCA journey.
Kim Hedrick started her career as a Registered Dietitian and worked closely with cancer patients as well as teaching ways to prevent cancer in individuals who were at risk. She continued her career in the pharmaceutical industry before she took a break to raise her 3 children and support her husband's career. Having several family members affected by cancer this has always been an area that Kim has felt passionate about and she is thrilled to be part of the NothingPink organization and support the efforts of the organization.

Georgia has been in the health insurance field since moving to Charlotte, NC in 1996 after obtaining her degree in Public Relations/Communications. She is currently a Strategic Client Consultant at Blue Cross NC where she supports large companies develop and execute their healthcare strategies. She and her husband have a son and daughter that keep them very busy on and off the athletic fields.
Georgia was diagnosed with breast cancer in the spring of 2017. Even as an advocate for supporting women’s causes, she found herself in uncharted territory with no family history of breast cancer. Georgia discovered the NothingPink foundation through a friend. Inspired by the foundation’s mission, she began volunteering and attended her first event in 2021.
As an advocate for others, Georgia is excited to support NothingPink and its mission to support the women, men, and families impacted by breast cancer.

Kassy‘s passion and heartbeat has always been for people and their stories. From event attendee, to support group member during her own prophylactic mastectomy, to volunteer, Kassy has experienced many facets of the Nothing Pink organization and is committed to helping women navigate and advocate for their own health. In this new role, she’ll be collaborating with Executive Director Kelly Kashmer to continue to deliver personalized financial, emotional, and social support along with community outreach to create awareness and educate about Nothing Pink. Kassy is a graduate of Purdue University and began her career in disability case management and later transitioned into human resources. After staying home and raising her two girls for the last decade, she now joins Nothing Pink as Program Coordinator.
Passionate about helping others, Lisa started her career as a Special Education Teacher before staying home with her children. She began volunteering with NothingPink in its early stages at community outreach events. She wanted women in our community to have access to the life-saving genetic testing information that had been vital to her friend Kelly. As NothingPink grew, Lisa began to take on an administrative role by serving on NothingPink's Executive Board. She has assisted with volunteer training, strategic planning, and fundraising efforts. Over the years, Lisa has been blown away by the generosity of our local businesses and event attendees! She feels honored to be a part of an organization that is truly making a difference in the lives of local women affected by breast and ovarian cancer.
